Instructions for using this website
Yeah! We have an
auction website which will streamline the event going forward and
provide fun and utility to all who contribute time and effort.
We
are so pleased with this software, that we really don't think you need these
instructions and suggest trying the site first. Perhaps just sign
yourself up or donate an item? Then, if you get stuck, check out the
directions.
One important thing to be aware of is that to register to attend you will need to enter a credit card. It is a very safe place to do this, but if you choose not to, you can still register the old-fashioned way by contacting Sheila Noonan.
There are 5 pages on this website:
- SGC Auction Home page
- Register to Attend page
- Procurement Form page
- Donation page
- Instructions
SGC Auction Home page:
- This is just an introduction page – you will find links at the top of the page for the other pages.
Register to Attend page:
- This is the page where you register to attend, as well as any guests you are bringing.
- There are 3 kinds of tickets you can get:
- Individual ticket – no charge – for all members who paid the Meeting Arrangements Fee with their dues. This includes all Actives and Provisionals and the 6 Sustainers/Honorary Members who also paid: Lyn White, Alison Andrews, Gretchen Hull, Susan Moseley, Mary Ellen Hughes and Suzanne Ragen.
- Luncheon Fee ticket - $45 – for all those Sustainers, Honorary Members and Non-Residents, who did not pay the Meeting Arrangements Fee.
- Guest ticket - $45 – for your guests
-
- You can also make an Angel donation on this page
- You will see that the cost is listed as $1.00
- So, if you wanted to donate $500.00, you would enter 500 in the box, not $500.00 or $500
- Registering
- Whether you are registering for an Individual ticket, which has a cost of $0 or a Luncheon or Guest ticket ($45), you will be prompted to enter a credit card. You are encouraged to do so as it is very safe and your credit card will be in your record, thus set up for Express Pay. If you are uncomfortable doing this, please contact Sheila Noonan to register the old-fashioned way.
- Enter the number of tickets you wish to purchase and the amount for an Angel donation, if desired.
- Check the box allowing your credit card to be used for purchases at the auction.
- Click Next
- You will be required to put first and last name for an Individual or Luncheon Fee ticket, and then more information about any guests.
- Your guests will then become part of the SGC database and won’t need to be entered in following years.
- There is also a box with each registered person asking whom they would like to sit with. This will help Sheila put everyone at the tables they want to sit at.
- Enter your credit card information
- Hit Submit for Processing
- If you have an questions during online registration, please contact Sheila Noonan or Kim Bishop.
Procurement Form page:
- This page provides a simple way to submit your procured items and it is entered automatically into the auction database.
- For auction organization it is very important that it is known:
- Is it a physical item or will it be a gift certificate?
- If it is a physical item, where is it? All items need to be delivered to either Edie Tenneson’s or Catherine Allan’s homes before the auction.
- If the item needs a gift certificate, who provides it? SGC is well equipped to provide gift certificates, but some donors may wish to provide their own. We need the answers to those questions – be sure you answer them.
- The contact information that is requested is for that of the Donor. We want to be able to thank these donors properly, so please fill out all the information requested. If a field has a star at the end of the description, it is a mandatory field.
- Do not use any decimals or $$$ in the value for the item.
- Please enter any restrictions on an item in the description, not in the Notes.
- If you have any questions about the procurement form, please contact Edie Tenneson or Kim Bishop.
Donate Now:
- This page is for those who are not coming to the luncheon, but would like to donate. It is pretty self-explanatory.
